Once there was a white fairy in the land of Peace whose name was Candila. She was so beautiful that even her shadow used to feel jealous of her. Candila was the princess of Peace and was a kind hearted lady. She had a step sister called Cruella. Her step sister Cruella was also beautiful and fair, but not like Candila. As Candila was elder than Cruella, she used to forget all the faults of the younger sister. When Cruella became a young lady, she started feeling jealous of her elder sister and thus started making conspiracy against her. One day Candila was out to the forest to enjoy the natural beauty when suddenly a group of monsters attacked and kidnapped her.
The monsters were sent by Cruella who want to acquire her place. When the monsters were kidnapping Candila, one bird noticed that and immediately informed the king about that. The bird was once saved by Candila when a hunter tried to shoot the bird. Thus the bird easily recognized Candila and as a payback to her kindness, the bird gave the information. The king then fought with the monsters and saved Candila from them. Her canny sister Cruella was punished by the king for her conspiracy against Candila. But the kind hearted Candila asked her father to forgive Cruella and to give her a second chance. The king admired Candila's words and forgave Cruella. Since then they live ever after."
Till today I have a longing towards the fairy tales. Our grand mothers were the basic source of these stories to us. In every çocuk hikayeleri there is a moral message that teaches the children about the right ways of life. In fact in the above story also, there is a message that truth and honesty always marks its victory over evil. These stories also help in the development process of the children. Follows are some of the ways as to how these stories can help the child to develop different expertise:-
1. These stories portray different emotions and real life situations before the child. These help the child to develop an understanding about how the world works and what are the social norms that we should admire while living in a particular society.
2. It helps in unleashing a child's creativity, for example, when children listen to the Cinderella story, their mind actually started roaming over a world where they can visualize Cinderella, her step sisters, her mother and so on.
3. Every fairy tale contains a moral suggestion that helps the children to distinguish good from bad, wisdom from ignorance and darkness from light.
4. Such stories can create awareness among the kids. They can be taught about different evil things and how to be protected from them.
5. Fairy tales convey moral behavior to children, thus helping a child to identify and use them appropriately in their life.
6. Fairy tales equip the child to face many situations which may arise in life. Children tend to remember fairy tales even when they grow old, thus enabling them to use the information in those fairy tales to solve their present day problems. Fairy tales are a part of every child's life and it teaches many aspects of life. Not only does it relax the child but also helps them grow to be better people in life.
